Minimum Qualifications:

• (For Hairstylists and Nail Artists) Must be licensed in your operating State. NOTE: Braiders are not required to have a cosmetologist license unless required by operating State.

• Must have online booking capabilities (our premier booking app is included with membership).

• Must have reasonable booking policies and offer a minimum of a 10 minute grace period.

• Prices and fees must clearly be outlined at booking.

• Pictures of your work will be needed.

• Must value professionalism and clientele.

• Quality of work must be a minimum of an “8” using a 1-10 scale.

Minimum qualifications must be met to be considered. If you meet these qualifications please complete the membership application on this page. Once your information is received we will contact you to discuss next steps and then the vetting process will begin.

If you pass the vetting process you will officially be a certified Black Girl Stylist. Each certified Black Girl Stylist will be listed on our platform, and receive a framed hardcopy of certification status. Additionally, each certified Black Girl Stylist will have the ability to utilize our premier booking app and have access to exclusive deals and discounts as it is included in your membership. Membership dues are only $19.99 per month and can simply be paid through your exclusive booking app.
